Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WHITES' UTICA," NY State origin, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with tooled rim molding, decorated with a stylized brushed design of a flowering plant. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. An in-the-firing contact mark below tulip. Two minor in-the-firing contact marks to reverse. A shallow flake to top of spout. Some light staining/residue to surface. The number "9" written in black marker on underside. H 9 3/4".
