Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware "PEARS" Jar, attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Sr., Manhattan, NY, circa 1810, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, featuring the impressed word, "PEARS," surrounded by cloud-like brushwork. Reverse decorated with a spotted drape motif. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing raised spots to surface. H 10".
