Two Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Water Coolers, Midwestern origin, circa 1880, both of similar form with open handles and circular bunghole, each decorated with a slip-trailed "4" underscored by looping lines. One with impressed faux screwheads to terminal. Both with salt glaze "turkey droppings" to surface. One with two spout chips and staining. The other with fry to cobalt, a small in-the-firing ping to bunghole, a tiny in-the-firing crack to bunghole, and two in-the-firing base chips.
