Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. KEISTER & CO. / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed swag and hanging flower motif. Impressed under one handle with J. Keister & Co. maker's mark and three-gallon capacity mark. Some light surface wear and a short, faint line on underside.
