Multi-Glazed Redware Egg Cup, attributed to S. Bell & Sons or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid form on stepped pedestal base, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashes of copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. A 7/8" glazed-over chip to interior of rim. Wear to interior of rim. A few base chips, one of which is glazed over, and some base wear. Other minor wear to pedestal base. H 3 1/2".
