Unusual Pittsburgh, PA Stoneware Advertising Canning Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and "wax sealer" rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "FROM / FETNER & BRO / GROCERS / Butler Street / Pittsburgh Pa." Chips to interior of rim. A shallow 1" in-the-firing base chip. Large sticker remnants on underside. H 8 1/4".
