Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BURGER BROS & CO. / ROCHESTER N.Y.," circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy below the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, "BURGER BROS & CO. / ROCHESTER, N.Y.," a lesser-seen stamp used by John Burger, Jr. and his brother, George. Professional restoration to tip of spout. A 1" surface line to rim on reverse, not visible on interior.
