Two Stoneware Batter Pails, attributed to T.G. Daub, Easton, PA, late 19th century, a one-and-a-half-gallon and two-gallon example; both of ovoid form with tubular pouring spout and applied clay handle at base on reverse. Both with matching stripe decoration emanating from the base of the spout, along with cobalt highlights to the ears and handle at base on reverse. Smaller pail inscribed "1 1/2" in cobalt. Larger pail includes tin covers. Smaller pail missing wire handle, with a spout chip, wear to piercings in clay ears, two chips to handle at base on reverse, a minor base chip, and some staining. Larger pail with large Y-shaped crack to front and some staining. Additionally, its tin spout cover is adhered to the spout, leaving the condition of the end of the spout unknown.
