One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "D. ROBERTS & Co / UTICA," NY State origin, circa 1830, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a brushed design of a flower with curved stem. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Two minor spout chips. Two large, smooth contact marks to left side of jug, which are unglazed. Two base chips on reverse. Some staining. A 3/4" and 1/2" in-the-firing ping to left side of jug. Some staining.
