Small-Sized Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Cream Jar, Stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1890, ovoid form with narrow base and semi-rounded rim, the exterior surface coated in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashes of copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed with S. Bell & Sons maker's mark at shoulder. Desirable size. Some small, scattered flakes. A thin L-shaped crack, descending approximately 3" from rim. Some staining. H 6 1/2".
