Scarce Six-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1870, cylindrical churn with flared collar, tooled accents, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a large triple-stemmed floral motif. Lightly-impressed under one handle with W.H. Lehew & Co. maker's mark below a six-gallon capacity mark. Rim chips. An 11" hairline to one side near handle, descending from shoulder to base. H 17 3/4".
