Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to M. & T. Miller, Newport, PA, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with tooled accents to rim and body, decorated with a series of grapes or berries flanked by heavy foliate brushwork. Cobalt swag decoration to sides of collar and stripes flanking spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Significant restoration to rim and spout area. Some fry to cobalt. Additional shallow chipping to rim and spout. An in-the-firing 7/8" chip to front.
