Rare Quart-Sized Stoneware Jug, Stamped "H. FOX," Chatham County, NC, third quarter 19th century, small-sized, ovoid jug with tooled spout, the surface covered in a mottled salt glaze. Impressed at shoulder with Himer Fox maker's mark below the stamp, "1," although this piece actually measures one-quarter gallon. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 7 1/2".
