Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Dated 1831, attributed to Eaton & Stout, South River, NJ, 1831, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded spout, decorated with the large brushed date, "1831," along with cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. Two spout chips. A few in-the-firing iron pings to surface. Roughness to bottom edge.
