Very Rare Stoneware Bowl, Marked "UNIONTOWN POTTERY," Uniontown, PA origin, late 19th century, jiggered bowl with pronounced rim, the exterior covered in a light Albany slip wash and salt glaze, the interior covered in a matte Albany slip glaze. Underside features the embossed circular maker's mark, "UNIONTOWN POTTERY," surrounding a relief star. Wear to interior. Some in-the-firing surface fissures to interior. A few shallow, glazed-over flakes to edge of rim and a short surface line to rim, not visible on interior. H 4 3/8" ; Diam. 9 1/4".
