Unusual Glazed Redware Jar with Elaborate Incised Decoration, New England origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, semi-rounded rim, and applied pocket handles, the lead-glazed surface profusely-decorated with combed straight and wavy bands of incising. An attractively-potted form and appealing red surface. Light surface wear, primarily to midsection. Otherwise excellent condition. H 10 1/4".
