Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Double-Bird Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON / UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of two paddletailed birds perched on a stylized vine above a leaf. Restoration around bottom half of crock, presumably to exfoliation.
