Two Pieces of West Virginia Stoneware, circa 1875, a canning jar with "wax sealer" rim and cobalt-stenciled signature, "THOMPSON / WILLIAMS / & CO. / MORGANTOWN. / W. VA.," Morgantown, WV origin; paired with a one-gallon jar stenciled, "HAGAN BROS., / DEALERS IN / STOVES AND / HARDWARE. / HUNTINGTON. W. VA," Western PA origin. Morgantown jar with two chips to inner wax sealer rim and faintness to stenciling. Huntington jar in excellent condition with minor wear to inner rim for lid, two stone pings to front, and some traces of old white porch paint to left side. H (of Morgantown jar) 9 3/4".
