One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, attributed to Peter Herrmann, Baltimore, MD, circa 1875, semi-ovoid pitcher with tooling to collar, decorated with a brushed floral motif on the front and swags around the collar. Impressed with Peter Herrmann one-gallon capacity mark on collar. Provenance: Descended in the family of Baltimore, MD potter, Peter Herrmann. Heavy chipping to base. An in-the-firing chip to spout.
