Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, New England origin, circa 1860, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a scrolled, flowering stem. Cobalt highlight to capacity mark. Shallow chipping to spout. A salt drip to shoulder. Two minor chips to base of handle. Some staining.
