Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "W.H. Lehew & CO. / Strasburg, VA", circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated around the shoulder with brushed swags. Shoulder impressed with Lehew's earliest and rarest maker's mark. A small base chip. A small rim chip and tiny rim nick. A 1 7/8" horizontal line to exterior of rim, not visible on interior. H 8 3/8".
