Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, probably NJ origin, circa 1855, both of cylindrical form, a half-gallon jar with looping floral design, inscribed "1/2 G." in cobalt on reverse; paired with a one-gallon jar with similar looping floral design, inscribed "1 G." in cobalt on reverse. Smaller jar in excellent condition with a shallow rim chip and light staining. Larger jar in excellent condition with a minor rim nick.
