One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, Manhattan, NY origin, circa 1800, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a leafy stem bearing two oblong flowers. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Restoration to underside and base. In-the-firing residue to reverse. Some additional firing flaws to surface.
