Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, NY State origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and open loop handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a slip-trailed sunflower blossom. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Significant spider cracks. U-shaped flaking the surface, some crudely restored. Small base chips. Minor rim chips. An in-the-firing iron ping to one handle.
