Glazed Redware Canning Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and narrow, flared opening, the surface covered in a clear lead glaze over an orangish-yellow ground. Impressed at shoulder with John Bell maker's mark. A shallow chip to top of rim. Shallow nicks and wear to interior of rim. Light wear to exterior of rim and inner rim for lid. A small in-the-firing ping above maker's mark. H 7".
