Fine Small-Sized Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Drape Decoration, Stamped "C. CROLIUS, / MANUFACTURER, / NEW-YORK.", circa 1820, highly-ovoid jug with heavily-tooled neck, decorated around the shoulder with a series of inverted swags forming a drape motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent size. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignor decades ago. Some light exfoliation to base. A few minor surface flakes to lower handle terminal. H 8 1/2".
