Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar Stamped "W. ROBERTS BINGHAMTON. NY", circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering plant with crosshatched and spotted blossom. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A discolored in-the-firing contact mark to base on front. An approximately 4" x 2 1/2" X-shaped surface line to reverse, not visible on interior.
