Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "C.W. BRAUN, / BUFFALO, N.Y.", circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering plant bearing three blossoms. Slip-trailed "2." to shoulder. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. A small chip to interior of rim. Two glazed-over base chips. A chip to underside at edge with a short surface line extending from it.
