Stoneware Figure of a Reclining Spaniel, Jane Lew, WV origin, circa 1875, molded figure of a reclining spaniel on rectangular base, covered in a glossy brown Albany slip glaze. Incised details to eyes and mouth. Hollow underside reveals tannish-gray clay. In-the-firing wrinkles in clay. Several small base chips. H 6" ; Length 8 1/2".
