Fine Small-Sized Stoneware Jar with Profuse Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated around the midsection with continuous stem bearing flowers and graduated leaves. Very nice, as-made condition with a 3/4" in-the-firing base chip, which is shallow and narrow, a small in-the-firing chip to top of rim, and a 7/8" shallow contact mark to side of jar. H 6 1/2".
