Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, attributed to William Capron, Albany, NY, circa 1800-1805, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled shoulder, and semi-rounded spout, decorated around the shoulder with three brushed cobalt daubs. Additional brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 1 1/4" chip to foot. A shallow 7/8" chip to underside at edge, partially visible when jug is standing upright. Some iron deposits visible at surface.
