Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Jar with Coggled Maker's Mark, PAUL. CUSHMANS STONEWARE . FACTORY . 1809", Albany, NY origin, 1809, ovoid jar with footed base and heavily-tooled shoulder, featuring an elaborate coggled signature of Paul Cushman, including the date "1809". Surface covered in reddish-brown slip and covered in a light salt glaze. Desirable size and maker's mark. Very nice condition. Base chips. A small rim chip. A few typical, small in-the-firing iron pings to surface. H 7 1/2".
