Two Pieces of Northeastern U.S. Stoneware, 19th century, a cake crock with cobalt leaf decoration, stamped with the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT", paired with a one-gallon jug with cobalt floral surrounding a script "2", stamped with the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, "A,J, BUTTLER, / MANUFACTERUR(sic) / NEW-BRUNSWICK, N J". Crock with X-shaped hairline to shoulder, two surface flakes to left side, rim chips, and some staining. Jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition.
