Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crocks, Baltimore, MD and Parkersburg, WV origin, circa 1875, a one-and-a-half-gallon example, stenciled "Chas. H. Torsch & Co. / Baltimore, Md. / 1 1/2", attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV; paired with one-gallon clover-decorated cake crock with associated cobalt-decorated lid, both Baltimore, MD origin. Torsch crock in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Baltimore cake crock in excellent condition with two small chips to interior of rim. Lid with in-the-firing separation lines where knob joins lid and some small chips to flange on underside.
