Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crocks, Stamped "A.E. SMITH / MANUFACTURERS, / 38 Peck Slip, N.Y.", circa 1855, a one-gallon crock with slip-trailed floral motif on reverse, paired with a one-and-a-half-gallon crock with brushed floral motif on front, both crocks bearing an A.E. Smith maker's mark. One-gallon crock with a thin 2 1/2" crack from rim on reverse, minor rim chips, a large in-the-firing iron ping to underside, a handle chip, and red-painted initials on underside. Other crock with water glass staining, a thin 1 1/2" crack above one handle, an in-the-firing iron ping near base on reverse, and rim chips.
