Two Pieces of New England Pottery, mid 19th century, a cylindrical redware jug with tapered spout and tannish lead glaze with iron flecking; paired with a rare salt-gazed stoneware oyster jar, stamped "SMITH & DAY, / MANUFACTURERS, / NORWALK, CON.". Jug with some surface wear and a small chip to underside at edge. Jar with small rim chips, a glazed-over base chip, and two minor base nicks. H (of jug) 7".
