Two Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, NY State origin, second half 19th century, one with brushed flowering vine motif, stamped "N. CLARK, JR. / ATHENS, N.Y.", paired with an advertising jug, inscribed "E.M. Hanrahan / Binghamton / N.Y.", stamped "E.W. FARRINGTON, / ELMIRA, N.Y.". Clark jug in essentially as-made condition with spots of fry to cobalt. Farrington jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition with a faint in-the-firing contact mark to front.
