Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock with Lid, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooling to midsection and shoulder, decorated around the body with four brushed leaves. Includes original lid with cobalt swag decoration. Crock with small rim chips. Lid with a 3/4" chip to knob, two minor chips to underside, and two short hairlines from edge. H (excluding lid) 3 3/4" ; Diameter 7 1/4".
