Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Bold Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS", NY State origin, circa 1860, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a flowering branch with cross-hatched blossoms. Slip-trailed twice with a "4" at the shoulder. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Striking decoration with strong color. A thin 4 1/4" crack from rim on reverse. A faint 3 3/4" line from rim on front. A chip to interior of rim. Some light staining to surface.
