Glazed Redware Pitcher with Mocha-Style Seaweed Decoration, PA origin, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with footed base, flared collar, and ribbed strap handle, the surface decorated in manganese with a mocha-style seaweed motif over a yellowish slip ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Interior coated in a reddish-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. A few minor base chips. Wear and a few small chips to rim. Two short hairlines from rim, measuring 1 3/4" and 1 1/4". Some wear to handle. H 7 1/4".
