Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with stem bearing flowers and graduated leaves. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and a single brushed swag underneath each handle. In-the-firing contact marks / surface chips to one side. A 1 1/4" chip to side of rim. A small chip to end of one handle. A tiny chip to interior of rim. A 1 7/8" in-the-firing chip to underside at edge.
