Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "J. REMMEY / MANHATTAN-WELLS / NEW-YORK", early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, impressed at the shoulder with the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark of John Remmey. Reverse with very large, circular cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to base. Surface wear.
