Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, each of two-gallon capacity and cylindrical form, one decorated with three flowers emanating from a central stem, stamped "NORTON & FENTON, East Bennington, Vt", the other with elaborate flowering plant design, stamped "N. CLARK JR. / ATHENS N Y". Norton & Fenton jug with the initials, "J.H.T", carved at shoulder, a tiny chip and minor wear to rim, and some fry to cobalt. Clark jug with vertical crack on reverse, extending from shoulder to underside, through a small base chip.
