Two Stoneware Jars, American, circa 1875, a canning jar with "wax sealer" rim, featuring the stenciled maker's mark, "A.P. Donaghho / Parkersburg, WV", paired with a half-gallon cylindrical jar, decorated with three flowers around the shoulder, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA circa 1865. Provenance: Collection of Harry Meyer, McDonald, PA. Donaghho jar with an in-the-firing contact mark to right edge of stenciling, two minor nicks to interior of rim, and heavy chipping to inner rim for lid. Remmey jar with a shallow, in-the-firing 7/8" flake to top of rim, which is glazed over. H (of Donaghho jar) 10 1/4".
