Half-Gallon Wheeling, WV Stoneware Advertising Jug, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "CONNER & SNEDEKER. / STAPLE & FANCY / GROCERIES. / MARKET & FOURTEENTH / STREETS. / WHEELING W. VA.". Horizontal hairline through handle. A 5/8" in-the-firing, glazed-over flake to edge of handle. A faint vertical line to bottom half of jug. A minor, in-the-making base chip.
