Two Glazed Redware Articles, American, 19th century, a ring jug with semi-rounded spout, covered in a lead glaze over a colorful light-green ground with orange spots, possibly New England origin; paired with a flowerpot with attached saucer, with cream-colored slip and splashed manganese decoration under a clear lead glaze. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market lot, from a recently-surfaced New York State collection. Ring jug with tight lines to one side and some small, in-the-firing contact marks to underside. Flowerpot with significant glaze loss and chips to saucer. L (of ring jug) 8 3/4".
