Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Redware Tankard Pitcher, attributed to J. Eberly & Co. or S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, cylindrical form with tooled shoulder and flared rim, the surface covered in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashed copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Some restoration to glaze on body and handle. A restored chip to top of spout and rim. Other minor wear to rim. One minor glaze flake to reverse. H 9".
