Very Rare Glazed Redware Turk's Head Mold, Stamped "Willoughby Smith / Wumelsdorf", PA origin, circa 1880, large-sized mold with swirled pattern, the surface covered in a lead glaze over a beautiful yellowish-green ground with orange spotting. Reverse with a splash of manganese decoration. A highly-unusual form for this maker, exhibiting wonderful color. Chipping and a 1 1/4" line to central tube. Outer rim with a small chip and minor wear. A few glaze scratches to shoulder. Two short, minor surface lines from rim on interior, not visible on exterior. H 5 1/2" ; Diameter 9 1/4".
