One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, probably NJ origin, circa 1855, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooling to body and collar, decorated with a slip-trailed plant bearing several groups of graduated leaves. Spout inscribed "1 G.", flanked by a flourish with spots. Provenance: Collection of Harry Meyer, McDonald, PA. A restored 9" crack to side of pitcher. A restored chip to interior of spout, where it meets to rim.
