Rockingham-Glazed Spaniel Doorstop, probably East Liverpool, Ohio, third quarter 19th century, molded figure of a Cavalier King Charles spaniel, seated atop an ornamental base with relief floral and acanthus leaf decoration. Surface colorfully glazed with streaks of reddish-brown and blue over yellowish clay. Tight cracks to base. An in-the-making, slightly-separated seam line along chest and one ear. H 10 1/2".
